Bush Nursing Centre

Lake Bolac Bush Nursing Centre is funded by the Victorian Government to provide a broad range of health care services, helping the community to access care locally and stay in their homes longer.

Services include clinical assessment and management of acute medical presentations; District Nursing; first line emergency response in partnership with Ambulance Victoria; palliative care; post-acute care for people discharged from hospital; wound care; hospital in the home; and immunisations.
 

The Centre has a partnership with East Grampians Health Service with weekly visiting Allied Health clinics providing accessible primary health care to a community that would otherwise need to travel fifty kilometres to Ararat.

Lake Bolac Bush Nursing Centre works in partnership with the following organisations:

• Acute hospitals in the region: Ballarat Health Services, East Grampians Health Service, Beaufort and Skipton Health Service - delivering hospital in the home, post acute care, aged care services for home care (packages)

• Clinical Laboratories – Pathology

• Ambulance Victoria – Emergency Response with Remote Area Nurses (RANs)

• Lake Bolac College – Education in the community

• Department of Health – Community health services

• Stawell Regional Health

• Ararat Rural City Council
